Do you want to look at the beauty of Vietnam from another angle or have a different experience in this S-shaped country? If you say yes, the eastern coast of Vietnam – Vinh Hy Bay (Ninh Thuan Province) – should be on your bucket list. The Nature Mother has given this place a majestic scenery with emerald water and white sand.

Vinh Hy Bay is about 42 kilometers away from Phan Rang City – Thap Cham in the Northeast direction. The weather here has characteristics of tropical monsoon climate which is dry, hot, and windy. There are 2 seasons: dry season (Sep- Nov) and wet season (Dec-Sep). The most suitable time to visit Vinh Hy Bay is between May and Aug because the sea of Vinh Hy reaches the peak of its beauty with emerald and pure water, warm and smooth sea, and white sand.

How to get there?

From Saigon or Hanoi, you can take a long-route bus, plane or train to Phan Rang.

From Phan Rang, you can hire a motor bike (VND 100,000- VND 150,000.) Otherwise, you can take the bus No.02 at Phuoc Loc bus station to Vinh Hy with the price of VND 20,000. In average, there is one bus every 30 minutes.

Where to stay overnight?

It is advisable to rent a room at hotels or motels in Binh Tien- Vinh Hy coastal road days before your trip to reserve a good choice for yourself. You can find some in agoda.com or booking.com.

What to experience in Vinh Hy Bay?

Besides enjoying the beach, you can also do some other activities such as diving, surfing, and hopping on a glass bottom boat.  The first boat starts at 9:00 am with the price of about VND 50,000-100,000 per person.  Besides, three kilometers away from the bay are there glorious coral reefs, which is best for snorkeling.

Rai Cave is one of the most beautiful destinations in Ninh Thuan province. It is considered as the only “waterfall on the sea” of Viet Nam. Observing mysterious harmony between moss and wave in Rai Cave, you will be surprised at the beauty of a nature masterpiece. Corals which are fully covered by the moss look like giant sapphire being lost beneath the clear water.

Nui Chua National Park is other attraction that cannot be missed out. You can climb up to the top of the mountain for an overview of the whole area. The highest point of the mountain is just about 1000 meters above sea level; however, it is not easy to conquer it because the mountain is located in a unique forest with typical feature of dry ecosystem in Southeast Asia, neither more nor less than in Africa.

To reach the peak of the mountain, you have to overcome 6 smaller peaks including Chua chat, Chua chau, Chua em, Chua chong, and Chua vo which means the god’s great-grandchild, grandchild, younger brother , older brother, husband and wife. So you need to ‘meet’ the god’s family members before confronting him.

And do not forget to try eating fresh seafood at fish farming bellows at the bay. You can choose what do you want for your meal and the boss will cook for you. Low price but delicious! With VND 250,000 –  300,000, you will have a meal for two.
